Royal Ascot Art Competition - Raceday Presentation

ROYAL ASCOT GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS SELLING FAST - THURSDAY & SATURDAY EXPECTED TO SELL OUT FIRST

On Saturday, 13th May we were delighted to welcome the winners and runners up of our 2023 Royal Ascot Local Schools Art Competition for a celebratory tea and prize -giving ceremony at our Victoria Cup Raceday.

The competition saw pupils aged 4-14 from 20 local schools send in their entries which this year focused on a Coronation theme. Over 1,700 online votes were received and winning students won cash prizes of £1,000 for their school, as well as Amazon vouchers to spend on themselves.

Attendees were given the honour of picking the Best Turned out Horse, with one of the winners, Alba Guadalix, presenting trophies to winning connections with guest jockey appearance by Jim Crowley.

Since 2018, this community project has provided children and schools in the local area with an opportunity to have their artwork displayed in the Ascot Heath Tunnel, creating a colourful walkway for both Royal Ascot visitors and local residents and we look forward to showcasing this year’s creations.

The winners have also been invited to attend the Saturday of Royal Ascot when they will be given the prestigious honour of creating a guard of honour for our jockeys on the day and meeting Ascot Racecourse Supports Racing Ambassador, Ryan Moore.
